Injections with PRP represent a regenerative method of care that harnesses the body’s capacity to self-heal. Platelets contain components that naturally stimulate cell growth, tissue repair, and healing. PRP injections can help in the treatment of acute and chronic tendon, ligament, and muscle injuries. It can help avoid surgical intervention while supporting post-procedure tissue healing and accelerating a stalled recovery.
How it’s done
A small volume (typically just one test tube) of a patient’s blood is drawn, and immediately centrifuged for a few minutes. This separates the regenerative platelet-rich plasma components, which are then safely injected into the damaged tissue. It’s that quick and simple!
